WHAT A SHOW: Celebrating independence with a bang in Shelton!

Many thousands of people gathered at Veterans Memorial Park (the Riverwalk) to watch the 2014 Shelton fireworks on Saturday, July 5. (Photos by Brad Durrell)

The pyrotechnics shows brought many ohh’s and ahh’s from the crowd, who delighted in celebrating the nation’s birthday on a perfect summer evening.

Attendees also got to watch the Derby fireworks, which take place at the same time just across the Housatonic River in a tradition that has become known as a night of “dueling fireworks.”
