SHELTON SUNDAY WEATHER: Thunderstorms possible late tonight

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to pass through Shelton in the late morning and early afternoon on Sunday.

The National Weather Statement (NWS) has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the area because severe weather is possible, with small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain.

Rain is most likely between noon and 3 p.m. in Shelton

It could then clear up in the late afternoon, with another round of storms possible late tonight, most likely between 3 and 8 a.m. Monday. These storms also could be severe.

During the day, Monday in Shelton should be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, and a high around 80, according to the NWS.
