Perillo achieves perfect voting attendance for 2014 session

State Rep. Jason Perillo, a Shelton Republican, has once again earned a 100% voting record for making all roll call votes taken on the floor of the state House of Representatives during the 2014 regular session.

The House Clerk’s Office recently released the data on members’ voting records.

“The people of the 113th District have always been my top priority, and I am proud to have cast all 309 votes taken in the House this year in order to ensure their voices are heard in Hartford on all issues,” said Perillo, who serves as an assistant Republican leader in the House.

“There were a number of challenging debates and crucial votes this past session that impacted our state’s economy and jobs, public safety, healthcare, insurance and other public policy priorities,” he said.

Perfect attendance is difficult to achieve, and roughly one third of House members were able to attain it during the 2014 session.

Seeking re-election this fall

Perillo is seeking re-election this fall. He has no Democratic opponent. A former Shelton alderman, he was first elected to the Legislature in a 2007 special election.

The next regular legislative session will convene in January 2015.

The 113th House District represented by Perillo covers more than half of Shelton.
