AlphaBits — Thursdays, Aug. 21 and 28, 10:30 a.m. Preschoolers and caregivers work on learning skills to make them kindergarten ready; drop-in session, siblings welcome.
Stay & Play — Fridays, Aug. 22 and 29, 10:30 a.m. Open play dates for preschoolers and caregivers; chat over coffee or tea, juice provided, bring a snack and a friend.
Family Fun Friday — Friday, Aug. 22, 1 p.m. This week the tale of a timid clownfish who sets out on a journey to bring home his son after he is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney; families bring the drinks, the library provides the popcorn, all ages.
Teen OverNight — Friday Aug. 22, 5 p.m. Spend the night, share games, contests, cooking, crafts, movies and more. Special prizes for teens (13-19) who competed in Teen Summer Reading Program. Permission slips required, bring a sleeping bag and change of clothes.
Fun for Little Ones — Tuesdays, Aug. 26 and Sept. 9, 10 a.m. Mrs. Fritsch offers stories, songs and movement for babies and toddlers up to age 2 in this themed drop-in program; siblings welcome, too.
Creative Kids — Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1 p.m. Youth 1-12 years old and their caregivers welcome to explore many mediums, tricks and techniques to create one-of-a-kind art in this drop-in program.
knit! — Tuesdays, Aug. 26 and Sept. 2, 6 p.m. Adult fiber fans meet to knit, crochet and chat, lots of support and fellowship in this drop in group, stop in and bring a friend.
Teen Volunteer Orientation — Wednesday Aug. 27, 6 p.m. Teens who need community service hours are asked stop in anytime to complete an application and attend this orientation; no registration required. Parents: expect to attend this workshop with teens. Volunteers must be 12-19 years old, and may not be completing these hours for court or disciplinary board assignments. Book Buzz — Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2 p.m. Drop-in with Miss Maura for weekly book and book based craft plus a healthy snack. This is program for preschool children and their caregivers.
