Thursday, Sept. 4 and 11, 11 a.m. Three and four year olds hear stories just for them.

First Friday Book Discussion

Friday Sept. 5, 1 p.m. Self-led book group shares opinions and insights on City of Women by David Gilham; new members welcome.

Baby Rhyme Time

Tuesdays, Sept. 9 and 16, 11 a.m.  Infants and non-walkers with caregivers enjoy traditional and new nursery rhymes and songs, many with hand play or action. Followed by time for some free play and socialization for the kids, and chit-chat for the adults. No registration needed.

Toddler Movement Program

Wednesday, Sept. 10, 11 a.m.  Kids ages 2-and-a-half to 4 years old and caregivers march, dance and play musical instruments plus songs and action poems. This is a weekly program for children who are ready to participate in group activities. Register for the four-week session.

As I See It

Wednesday, Sept. 10, 1 p.m. Friends of the Shelton Libraries offer a film viewing and discussion over desserts; new members welcome.

Spanish with Sandra

Fridays, Sept. 12 and 19, 2:45 p.m. Early immersion program for three to five year-olds and their parents, features the Spanish language in songs, games, story time and other activities. Taught by Shelton Spanish teacher Sandra Alvarado. Registration required and space is limited. This session runs Fridays, Sept. 12-Nov. 21. Participants don’t have to go to all sessions.
