TUESDAY: Senior Health Fair set for Shelton Senior Center

A Senior Health & Wellness Fair and a Medicare presentation will take place Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the Shelton Senior Center,  81 Wheeler St.

The fair goes from 9 a.m.-noon and is open to the public. State and local organizations will provide health screenings and information about programs and services for seniors.

The “Medicare For You and Your Loved Ones” presentation is from noon-2 p.m. Judith Stein, executive director of the Center for Medicare Advocacy, and Nancy Shaffer, the state’s long-term care ombudsman, will discuss recent developments in Medicare.

The presentation is open to the public but reservations are required by contacting Peggy Tibbals at 860-240-8884 or Peggy.Tibbals#cga.ct.gov.

The fair and talk are being hosted by state Sen. Kevin Kelly and state Reps. Jason Perillo and Ben McGorty, all of whom represent Shelton.
