Learn what to do in emergencies at free Shelton session

People can learn what to do during a major power outage, hurricane or flooding incident at their homes during a free training session for the public.

The session will take place Friday, Oct. 10 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Echo Hose Training Center, 286 Howe Ave., Shelton.

“Natural or man-made disasters can happen when you least expect it,”  event organizers said. “Come find out how you can prepare yourself and your family for an emergency.”

The presentation is sponsored by the Naugatuck Valley Medical Reserve Corps as part of its “Are You Ready” education series, in collaboration with the Naugatuck Valley Health District and Shelton’s Echo Hose Ambulance.

There will be free snacks and beverages for attendees as well as free give-aways and educational materials.

Pre-registration is required by contacting Amy Shields at 203-881-3255 or [email protected] by Oct. 8.
