The Shelton Exchange Club will hold its annual golf tournament Monday, Sept. 29 at Brownson Country Club on Shelton.
The tournament has been renamed the Jim Goodman Memorial after the late insurance company president, who died earlier this year. Goodman, a Huntington resident and active community volunteer, had served as the local Exchange Club president.
Tournament check-in and lunch is at 11 a.m., shotgun start at 12:30 p.m., and hors d’oeuvres, dinner and awards program with an open bar at 5:30.
The cost to participate is $200 per golfer, or $75 for dinner only. Various sponsorships are available for the tournament.
The golf tournament is the biggest fund-raiser of the year for the Shelton Exchange Club. All proceeds go toward the prevention of child abuse, and financial assistance for those in need in the community.
