Obituary: Helen Tomasella, 90, of Orange

Helen Tomasella, 90, of Orange, peacefully entered into eternal rest on early Wednesday morning, September 17, 2014, in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Costandino L. Tomasella.

Mrs. Tomasella was born in Derby on January 14, 1924, daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Kuziak.

A resident of Orange for many years, she was employed as the office secretary for the accounting firm of Tomasella, Schlitter, and Burrell P.C. for over 40 years.

Helen enjoyed visiting the casino, playing cards and reading.

She is survived by a loving and devoted son, Lawrence S. Tomasella of Orange and his companion Renee Pennington, a sister, Mary Stevens of Shelton, grandchildren, John, Corey, Marissa and Chantel Tomasella, great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jayden, Emily, Lexi and Chloe Tomasella and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Stephen J. Tomasella and a brother, Joseph Kuziak.

Visiting will take place on Saturday September 20, 2014, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 10:30 am, a funeral service in celebration of Helen’s life will take place. Interment will follow in St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery in Derby.
