A steady crowd of hungry visitors descended on the waterfront park, patiently waiting in line to try everything from perogies to cupcakes and baked potatoes to dipped ice cream cones.

The four-hour event also included live music, beer and wine, a classic car show, Shelton Fire Department trucks, and children’s activities.

Food Trucks in the Valley raised money for the Parent Child Resource Center (PCRC), which provides programs and services for children and families in the Lower Naugatuck Valley, including Shelton.

The fund-raising event lasted four hours and attracted thousands of people.

Admission was free, with 10% of proceeds from each vendor going to the PCRC.
