A craft beer festival and wing contest is returning to Shelton for the second year in a row. The Derby-Shelton Rotary Club will sponsor Hoptoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 1-5 p.m. at the Riverwalk (Veterans Memorial Park) on Canal Street.

The event will feature more than 80 craft beers, the Best of the Valley Wing Contest, and live music near the Rotary Pavilion. Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 12.

Shelton-RotaryHoctoberfestLast year’s inaugural event was a huge success, attracting many hundreds of people, and club officials are hoping for an even bigger turnout this year.

The cost is $25 for beer-and-wings tickets ($35 on day of event), and $15 for wings-only tickets (including on day of event). People must be age 21 or older to attend.

The wings contest will take place from 1-3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online.
