A nice autumn day will bring sunny skies and high temperatures in the low 60s Sunday in Shelton.
It should be perfect weather for the Shelton Day outdoor street fair in downtown Shelton as well for early fall activities such as pumpkin and apple picking.
According to he National Weather Service (NWS), Sunday will offer sunny skies and a high around 60 degrees or a bit higher. There also should be a slight breeze. Overnight, it will again be somewhat cold — with a low around 42 degrees.
The good weather will continue on Monday, when it will be mostly sunny and slightly warmer — with a high around 66 degrees, the NWS said.
Rain possible on Tuesday
Shelton should see some rain on Tuesday, with showers and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. The high should be around 71 degrees.
Shelton Day takes place Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Howe Avenue, when a section of the road will be closed off and booths set up for vendors, organizations and businesses. Admission is free.
Motorists should expect minor detours around downtown Shelton. Police will be directing traffic around the area.
