Roundup: Shelton swim nicks Hamden

The Shelton High girls swim team clipped Hamden High, 86-84.

The meet was tied going into final event and the Gaelettes won the final relay to win

Shelton improved to 2-5-1 overall.

Boys soccer

The Shelton High boys soccer team beat Sheehan High of Wallingford, 2-0.

Austin Forlenzo, assisted by Isaijah Rojbles and Ryan Smith, assisted by Danny Castro, netted the goals.

Girls volleyball

The Shelton High girls volleyball team defeated North Haven, 3-2 (25-17, 18-25, 21-25, 25-10, 15-12) to improve to 6-7.

Gina Orazetti led the way with five aces, 10 digs and nine kills. Sammy Stevens had eight kills and five kills and Brooke Grand had two aces and 23 digs.

Girls soccer

The Shelton High girls soccer team fell to Lauralton Hall, 2-1.

Alexis Zoppi scored on a penalty kick for Shelton (5-3-2).
