Football: Vikings plow past North Haven

The eighth-grade Orange Vikings football team moved to 4-1 with a 31-12 win over North Haven.

North Haven took the opening kick and marched 68 yards in four plays to make the score 6-0.On the ensuing kickoff, Nick Andrade returned the kick to the North Haven 18-yard line.

Colin St. Pierre’s 4-yard touchdown run and Andrade’s extra point run made the score 7-6 Vikings at the end of the first quarter.

Jake Falanga (three tackles, one interception) then had a fumble recovery to set up the Vikings on the North Haven 45.

Jake Roberts ran it in from five yards out, and Andrade’s kick was good to make the score 15-6 with three minutes remaining in the half.

North Haven converted on a fourth-and-7 with a 23-yard touchdown pass, cutting the Vikings lead to 15-12.
