Fun at the festival: Smashing pumpkins at Shelton’s Mohegan School

“It’s fun,” Samantha, age 7, said of trying the autumn-themed game for the first time.


The festival included vendors, bake sale, games and prizes, face painting, a dunk booth, bounce houses, Dad’s Food Truck, raffles, and other activities.


Rainy weather limited some of the outdoor activities, but much of the festival was based inside.

The Oct. 4 festival was open to the public as well as the school community.
