Global chronic disease insight: ‘Microbirth’ being shown at Shelton library

A public showing of “Microbirth,” a new documentary film released in September, will be shown at Plumb Memorial Library on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m.

With chronic diseases at epidemic levels around the world, the filmmakers believe this is an important and urgent issue, a press release said.

The hope is that every healthcare provider and every expectant parent becomes aware of the importance of properly seeding the baby’s microbiome at birth.

The program is free but donations will be accepted. The library is at 65 Wooster St.; call 203-924-9461 for information.
