Shelton residents and businesses are among those being recognized at the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Gold Seal Award Banquet on Thursday, Nov. 6.
This year’s awardees are:
GOLD SEAL AWARD: Bob Bradley, Susan Coyle and George Logan
PLATINUM AWARD: Dominick Thomas
SILVER MEDAL AWARD: DiMatteo Family Charitable Foundation
The event will take place from 5-9 p.m. at Grassy Hill Country Club, 441 Clark Lane, Orange.
The awards are intended to honor the region’s business and community leaders who exemplify the spirit of selflessness and volunteerism.
Gold Seal Award began in 1971
The Gold Seal Award program was established in 1971 for the purpose of recognizing and honoring outstanding community service. Only 149 individuals have been recognized with this award since then.
The Silver Medal was first awarded in 1986 to recognize volunteer partnerships that have made extraordinary contributions to the community. Only 25 organizations have received this honor.
In 2001, with the 30th anniversary of the Gold Seal Award, the Chamber introduced the Platinum Award. It is presented annually to a past Gold Seal recipient of at least 10 years who is still dedicated to volunteering their time and resources in the Valley.
The cost to attend the Nov. 6 banquet is $65. For information or tickets, go to:
