Ziti dinner with raffle for public boosts Shelton fire company

The event featured food prepared and donated by Verace Restaurant in Shelton as well as raffle items. It raised funds for the fire company while enabling the public to learn more about the all-volunteer department.

“We do this for the community,” said firefighter Al Pereira, who helped organize the fund-raising activity.

Pine Rock Park is one of four all-volunteer fire companies in Shelton. The others are Echo Hose, Huntington and White Hills.

Many items were donated by local businesses and residents to be included in the raffle.
