A sedan ran into the curb on Howe Avenue (on the Housatonic River side) and sustained some damage to the front end and driver’s side of the vehicle.
As of 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, a patrol officer was there and his police vehicle’s lights were flashing.
No one was hurt in the accident, but it appears a tow truck might be needed to move the sedan due to the damage. The sedan’s driver was still inside the vehicle.
The sedan hit the curb close to a parked car on Howe Avenue but it was unclear if the sedan may have hit the parked car or perhaps a telephone pole as well as the granite curb.
The officer said the accident was due to “a malfunction” in the car while the driver tried to make a U-turn on Howe Avenue.
The accident scene is essentially across the street from the Russian Club.
