Merit Scholarship awards Shelton seniors

Six Shelton High School seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Letters of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, were presented to Elizabeth Carlson, Wesley Kocurek, Austin Kothary, Christopher Lipscomb, Michael Linders and Scott Schnipes.

Six Shelton High School seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2015 National Merit  Scholarship Program. Letters of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, were presented to Elizabeth Carlson, Wesley Kocurek, Austin Kothary, Christopher Lipscomb, Michael Linders and Scott Schnipes. Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized. Although they will not continue on the 2015 competition for National Merit Scholarships, these students placed in the top 5% of the more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 competition by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized. Although they will not continue on the 2015 competition for National Merit Scholarships, these students placed in the top 5% of the more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 competition by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
