Interiors showcase Rooms with a View, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary and whose honorary chairperson is national tastemaker Thom Filicia, will be hosting a weekend of design and has announced its theme for 2014: “20/20 Visions.”
The event, which will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14-15, 10 to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 16, noon to 5 p.m., at the Southport Congregational Church, 524 Pequot Avenue, Southport. It will feature interior design room vignettes from 12 leading designers.
Guests may also attend The Marketplace Boutique, featuring 30 vendors, a “Barn Raising,” with local chefs/cafe, a fashion show with lunch by Festivities, antiques appraisals and tent events. An opening night gala will be held on Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. (Tickets from $100-$500), and a champagne tour by Thom Filicia with dinner by Paci on Saturday night (Limited tickets: $500).

Over the last 20 years, Rooms with a View has raised more than $1.26 million. Proceeds support the work of the church and its local and international missions, including Alpha Community Services, Bridgeport Council of Churches, Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Burroughs Community Center, Center for Women and Families, Eagle Hill School Scholarship Fund, Emerge, Inc., FSW, Grasmere by the Sea, Horizons, Janus House, The Kennedy Center, Operation Hope, The Pilot House, Project Learn, Prospect House, Simply Smiles, St. George’s Soup Kitchen and Visiting Nurses of Connecticut.
