Shelton residents should get their coats ready for the coming days with colder temperatures on the way, beginning Thursday.
After enjoying three days with mild temperatures at the beginning of this week, the high on Thursday will only be about 47 degrees, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). And then the daytime highs will dip down into the low to mid 40s through the beginning of next week.
Oh, there’s also a chance for some snow on late Thursday night and Friday morning, as well as on Monday night.
Snow would start in middle of night
On Thursday, there will be increasing clouds. The precipitation should begin late at night, perhaps as rain changing to snow, the NWS said. The nighttime low Thursday into Friday will be near 31 degrees.
The snow could continue into Friday morning, ending around 9 a.m., according to the NWS. The rest of Friday should be mostly sunny with a high around 43 degrees. Overnight lows Friday into Saturday should drop into the mid 20s.
