Shelton police have arrested a 22-year-old New Haven man for an armed robbery in June at the Cumberland Farms on Route 110.
Wayne Bunting, 22, of New Haven was charged with first-degree robbery. He was held on a $75,000 bond and was arraigned in Derby court.
Bunting was served an arrest warrant on Nov. 18 at state Super Court in Derby.
The arrest stems from an investigation of a late-night armed robbery on June 22 at Cumberland Farms, 819 River Road (Route 110), Shelton.
At about 2 a.m., Shelton police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Cumberland Farms.
The employee told police that a male wearing a black hoodie with a black ski mask entered the store and demanded money.

The male suspect displayed a handgun, police said. The male then left the store with an undetermined amount of money. The employee was not injured.
The case was investigated by the Shelton Police Department’s Detective Bureau with assistance from the West Haven and Stratford police departments.
