This will be the 13th year for the race through downtown Shelton and Derby. Greco & Haines is the event’s main sponsor.

The race will start and finish at the Riverwalk on Canal Street in Shelton. Starting time is 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27. About 750 runners are expected to participate.

Mayor Mark Lauretti, who runs in the race every year, is this year’s honorary starter.

In the previous 12 years, the race has raised over $100,000 for the benefit of the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
