Shelton residents can expect wet roads this morning, then unusually warm temperatures this afternoon. But by Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day, temperatures in the low 30s and snow are predicted, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
It should rain for most of Monday morning in Shelton, through at least 11 a.m. There also will be strong winds, with gusts up to 38 mph possible, the NWS said.
Temperatures should be in the mid to upper 60s on Monday. More rain is possible in the evening, with an overnight low of around 47 degrees.
Tuesday should be sunny with a high near 54 degrees.
Wednesday should begin with rain in Shelton, then a change to show in the afternoon, the NWS said. Temperatures will be in the 30s, in what is one of the busiest travel days of the year.
The snow could continue through the night into Thanksgiving morning, the NWS said. The overnight low Wednesday into Thursday morning should be about 30 degrees.
