With holiday, what happens to Shelton trash and recycling pickups?

Trash and recycling collection in Shelton will not take place on Thursday, Nov. 27 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Shelton-TrashBinds-FIInstead, trash and recycling items normally picked up Thursday will be collected on Friday, Nov. 28, and the normal Friday collection will be done on Saturday, Nov. 29.

The city’s transfer station will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will be open from 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 28 and 29.

The municipal compost site will be closed on Thanksgiving, but will be open on Friday, Nov. 28 from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 7 a.m.-noon.
