St. Vincent’s Medical Center Foundation will join #GivingTuesday, a first-of-its-kind effort to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season.
Giving Tuesday will take place annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which is Dec. 2 this year.
The goal is to leverage the power of social media to create an international moment around the holidays dedicated to giving — similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are synonymous with holiday shopping.
On Dec. 2, members of the St. Vincent’s community — including doctors, nurses, patients, supporters and survivors — are being asked to change their social media profile pictures to images that share their inspiration for giving and encourage their friends and families to support the St. Vincent’s Medical Center Foundation.
