After another unseasonably warm day on Monday, Dec. 1, things are going to feel more like December on Tuesday in Shelton.
There’s a slight chance of snow late Tuesday morning, Dec. 2. But there’s a greater chance of rain, snow and sleet later in the day, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
While the high on Tuesday is going to be near 38, the wind chill will make it feel between 25 and 30, according to the NWS, thanks to an east wind of 11 mph.
The chance of precipitation on Tuesday is 80%, with little snow and sleet accumulation expected in Shelton, the NWS said.
Tuesday night, there will be more rain, snow and sleet that should become all rain after midnight. The chance of precipitation is 100%, but again little snow and sleet accumulation is predicted.
On Monday, the recorded high in the region was 62 degrees. And there’s a good chance, looking at the extended forecast, that this was the last time the mercury will top 60 degrees in 2014.
