Shelton-PoliceLogoSmallSignificant lane reductions to all approaches of this intersection will occur during this construction period. The most significant lane reductions are expected to occur on Saturday, Dec. 6 from noon to 2 p.m.

Expect major traffic backups and delays during peak traffic times, according to the Shelton Police Department. It is strongly recommended to use alternative routes and avoid the area.

Several Shelton police officers have been assigned to assist with traffic control during the construction, but lengthy delays still are expected to occur.

The intersection is near Exit 12 of Route 8. Similar road work involving the UI substation has been taking place in the area at night in recent weeks.
