Shelton residents should expect wet weather beginning tonight into Sunday morning, with a chance of some snow early Sunday. Rain and snow also are expected for much of early next week in this region, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The NWS said rain should move into the Shelton area around 8 p.m. Friday. Temperatures will remain in the mid-30s overnight so there’s no chance of snow.
Saturday will be a soaker, with rain expected all day. Shelton should get an inch or more of rain during from the passing weather system. Temperatures could reach the low 50s during the day.
Snow on early Sunday?
It will grow colder on Saturday night, with wind chills dipping as low as 25, the NWS said. The precipitation will continue, with mixed precipitation and even light snow possible on Sunday morning.
The rest of Sunday will turn mostly sunny, with an expected high of 41 degrees, according to NWS.
More rain and snow is possible on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, with temperatures in the 30s and 40s.
