Holiday Arrangements  Wednesday, Dec. 10, 10:30 a.m. Cathy Ritch demonstrates floral arrangement construction from inexpensive supermarket flower bunches; arrangements will be distributed by drawing at the end of the program. An experienced gardener and accredited flower arranger, in 2014, Ritch won the Award of Design Excellence, the top design award at the Connecticut Flower and Garden show in Hartford.  She has exhibited several times at the NBMAA “Floral Expressions” show in New Britain. This is a free workshop presented by the Friends of the Shelton Libraries.

Stories with Danielle — Thursdays, Dec. 11 and 18, 11 a.m. Three and four year olds hear stories.

Spanish with Sandra — Fridays, Dec. 12 and 19, 2:45 p.m. Early immersion program for three to five year-olds and their parents features the Spanish language in songs, games, story time and other activities. Taught by Shelton Spanish teacher Sandra Alvarado. Registration is required and space is limited.

Baby Rhyme Time — Tuesday, Dec. 16, 11 a.m. Infants and non-walkers one-on-one time with their caregiver. Traditional and new nursery rhymes and songs, many with hand play or action. Then stay awhile for some free play and socialization for the kids, and chit-chat for the adults. No registration required.
