This Saturday, HAN Radio is your home for all of the state high school football championship action from West Haven, including the Shelton High School game.
At 2:30 p.m., the Shelton Gaels will play in the final for the first time since 2007, taking on their SCC foes, the Xavier Falcons (Middletown), for the statewide Class LL-Small title. The same teams competed on Nov. 7, with the Gaels prevailing in that game, 28-20. The SCC is the Southern Connecticut Conference.
Earlier on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., the Darien Blue Wave and the New Canaan Rams renew acquaintances as they battle for the Class L-Large state title. Darien beat New Canaan on Thanksgiving Day, 28-21 in overtime, to win the FCIAC Championship.
Four staffers to cover the game
The HAN Radio crew will also keep an eye on each of the other state championship games.
On hand for all of the action will be Rob Adams and Chris Erway, with John Kovach and Paul Silverfarb on the sidelines.
