The light rain coming down is beginning to turn to snow in Shelton, with the temperature at 34 degrees and dropping as of 5:15 p.m. in the city.
The light snow could continue into tonight, but the total accumulation should be less than an inch, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The overnight low should be near 27 degrees.
More light snow is possible Thursday, with little chance for significant accumulation. The daytime high will be around 35 degrees.
There’s also a possibility of snow showers on Friday and Saturday morning, the NWS said.
The pick of the weekend in Shelton should be Sunday, when sunny skies and a high around 41 degrees is predicted.
