Symphony show to feature holiday music in Shelton

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) will present festive seasonal music with “Home for the Holidays” on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. at Shelton Intermediate School, 675 Constitution Blvd. North.

Led by NHSO principal pops conductor Chelsea Tipton, the program will feature such holiday favorites as “Winter Wonderland, ” “Sleigh Ride” and “Greensleeves”; a Christmas carol sing-along; and “Holy Night” with Yale Opera alumna Kelly Hill.

Shelton-NhsoLogoConductor Chelsea Tipton II, who has appeared with numerous major orchestras in the United States and toured Europe with rock musician Sting, will take part in the show.

The performance is part of the NHSO’s Pops Series, which is sponsored by R.D. Scinto Inc.
