Gingerbread Wars were on at Shelton High

The Shelton High School cafeteria was abuzz Dec. 15, as the SHS National Honor Society sponsored the annual Gingerbread Wars. Nineteen teams paid an entry fee and were given a gingerbread house kit and a supporting board.

They brought all the extra decorations, which included cookies and candy. Glue guns and frosting were used to hold the houses together.

First place was awarded to The Festive Cabin by Rachel Ocasio, Vicky Latiots, Carlie Cannone and Madeline Bucchino.

Second place was awarded to Have a Sandy Christmas by Maggie Fitzgerald, Melissa Jacksis, Sam Kirk and Stacie Nolan.

Third place went to Snoopy’s Dog House by Lindsay Gowans, Brianna Coba, Sarah Henckel and Julia Mancini.
