Two new business uses coming to Shelton

Two older buildings on Coram Avenue will soon have new uses. A tiny commercial building at 435 Coram Ave. (across from St. Joseph’s School, previously Chocolate Pizza Co.), will be occupied by a furniture restorer. The retail business will specialize in painted, old furniture.

Most of a former house at 241 Coram Ave. (across from City Hall) will become a family grief education center for the nonprofit Adam Wysota Foundation. Sessions will take place at night, with some staff present during the day as well.

The two uses were approved by the Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission at a recent meeting.
