Elizabeth Morse and Jeffrey Luoma were married at Saint Lawrence Church on Aug. 16.
The wedding was officiated by the Rev. James Hayes from the College of the Holy Cross. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Cascade Fine Catering in Hamden.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Helen Morse of Shelton. She graduated as the valedictorian of the Shelton High School class of 2005 and earned her bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross in 2009. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in cell biology at Yale University.
The groom is the son of Wayne and Barbara Luoma of Madison, N.H. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross in 2009 and his master’s degree from Georgetown University in 2011. He works as the assistant director of institutional research at the University of New Haven.
The couple honeymooned on the island of Oahu and now live in Hamden.
