SHELTON WEATHER: Some snow likely Friday morning

Shelton could see some snow late tonight, and snow is likely later on Friday morning.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), up to an inch of snow could accumulate before it stops on Friday about 1 p.m.

It will remain cold tonight in Shelton, with a low around 12 degrees. The NWS said air temperature will get up to 30 degrees on Friday, but feel much colder with steady winds — and gusts up to 32 mph. The overnight low Friday night into Saturday morning will be 10 degrees.

Here is the NWS forecast for the weekend and beyond:

Saturday:  Sunny, with a high near 23. Overnight low of 12 degrees.

Sunday:  Partly sunny, with a high near 31. Overnight low of 25 degrees.

Next week:  Daytime highs in the mid-30s, with snow possible Tuesday and Wednesday.
