Unusual White Hills visitor in Shelton

A resident of Big Horn Road in the White Hills section spotted this visitor in his yard on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 3.

“What’s that?” he asked his wife, before grabbing binoculars and then a camera. He thinks it may be a coywolf, which is the result of a coyote and a wolf mating.

The animal left the yard after about 10 minutes. Big Horn Road in Shelton is off Beardsley Road, near the border with Monroe.
