Snow showers could occur in Shelton late this afternoon, and then it will turn colder for tonight and tomorrow. Sunday will bring warmer temperatures but expected rain and possibly nighttime snow.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said scattered snow showers are possible late this afternoon, and one batch appears to be moving into New York City as of about 3:45 p.m.
Temperatures then will dip in Shelton, with an overnight low tonight of 8 degrees, daytime high Saturday of 23 degrees, and a nighttime low Saturday into Sunday of 19 degrees, the NWS said.
Sunday: Warm but rainy
Sunday will be much warmer in Shelton, with a high near 43, but rain is likely in the afternoon and evening. The precipitation could become snow overnight as it cools down, but no significant accumulation is expected, according to the NWS.
Snow also is possible next Wednesday.
