An 18-hole indoor mini-golf tournament for adults on Friday, Jan. 30 will benefit the nonprofit Shelton Exchange Club Foundation.
The tournament is the Exchange Club’s third annual Kickoff to Super Bowl Weekend event. It will take place at Molto Bene Italian American Kitchen, 557 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Mini-golf play begins at 7 p.m., with registration at 6.
An 18-hole mini golf course will be set up both indoors and in a large, heated outdoor tent.
Dinner, open bar, silent auction
The event will include food, open bar, prizes, silent auction with sports memorabilia, and gift basket raffles.
Putters will be provided, but people also can bring their own. The event is open to those with no golf experience.
All proceeds will be given to local charities involved in the prevention of child abuse.
The cost to play is $100, which includes greens fees, open bar and dinner. There will be a scramble format with four-person teams (singles are welcome). Team members are encouraged to wear team jerseys or team colors.

Local Exchange Club’s long history
The all-volunteer Shelton Exchange Club was founded in 1960 and participates in community service, and supports youth activities and efforts to stop child abuse. It is part of a national organization with 700 clubs and more than 21,000 members.
Through the years, the Shelton Exchange Club has provided support for the Shelton Safe House, Boys & Girls Club, the Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services, Parent and Child Resource Center, and Spooner House.
The club honors a Student of the Month from Shelton High School and distributes small flags to children at the Memorial Day parade.
