MONDAY 4 P.M. PHOTOS: What are the roads like? Some backups on local roads

As of about 4 p.m. on Monday, Bridgeport Avenue heading north is experiencing some major delays at certain intersections.

However, the traffic backups seem to ebb and flow at different times.

Many people are leaving work early and heading home — often at the same time as everyone else. This is not an unusual occurance with a bog storm on the way. Others motorists are running to the store to get last-minute food items and other supplies.

Route 8 northbound was like a parking lot near Exit 11 at 3:30, but 45 minutes later vehicles going in that direction appear to be moving at a respectable pace.

Steady, lighter snow is falling and beginning to accumulate but driving conditions are OK. Plows can be seen on the roads.
