Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has adjusted the state’s travel ban to allow driving on local roads in Fairfield County as of 8:30 a.m. this morning.
The ban has been lifted in a similar way for Litchfield County. The ban remains in place for the rest of the state until further notice.
“We are working to get residents back on the road as soon as possible,” Malloy said. “Because of lighter-than-expected snowfall in Fairfield and Litchfield counties, but sustained, heavy snowfall in eastern Connecticut, we’re adjusting the ban as conditions warrant.”
Malloy will continue to provide blizzard-related updates throughout the day. He said residents also can continue monitoring the news media for updates.
