Shelton Eagle Scout receives scholarship and award

Shelton Eagle Scout Jonathan Lemanski was presented with the 2014 Ed and Caroline Strang Eagle Scout Scholarship by the Housatonic Council of Boy Scout’s annual Eagle Scout recognition dinner.

Shelton-BoyScoutHousLogoLemanski also was the recipient of the 2014 Connecticut American Legion Eagle Scout of the Year Award.

He is a member of Troop 55 in Shelton and earned his Eagle Scout in 2010. His Eagle project consisted of building a fence and some benches in the picnic area near the horseshoe courts at the Sutter-Terlizzi American Legion Post 16 in Shelton.

 

Active in Scouting for many years

Lemanski has been active in scouting for 12 years and has earned 66 merit badges and nine Eagle Palms. He has been a summer camp counselor at Camp Strang for three years.

He is graduate of St. Joseph High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He currently a freshman at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, majoring in Business.
