This year’s Monkey Love is under way and goes through Feb. 6.  Organizers are seeking new, stuffed monkeys (with the tags still on them) to be given to children in need in the Lower Naugatuck Valley area.

The stuffed animals can be dropped off at J-Cuts, 505 Howe Ave., which is near White Street (and the former Stockbridge Gourmet Cheesecake and Cafe).

Other drop-off locations in Shelton are Minuteman Press, 427 Howe Ave., Suite 2; and the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce office, 10 Progress Drive, second floor.

Last year’s Monkey Love collected more than 2,000 stuffed monkeys for local hospitals, youth organizations, police departments and other nonprofit groups.
