Stories with Danielle — Thursday, Feb. 5, 11 a.m. Story time for ages 3-4. Drop in.

First Friday Book Discussion — Friday, Feb. 6, 1 p.m. Chris Bohjalian’s Light in the Ruins is the selected title for this self-led book group; copies available, new members welcome.

Huntington-branch-library-FISpanish with Sandra — Fridays, Feb. 6 and 13, 2:45 p.m. Immersion Spanish for three-to five year-olds and their parents in this program using songs, games, story time and other activities. Taught by Sandra Alvarado, a Spanish teacher from Shelton; registration required and space limited.

Sweet/Love/Sick Snacks — Saturday, Feb. 7, 1 p.m. Teens and tweens invent a snack that demonstrates how they feel about Valentine’s Day. Registration required.

Marvelous Mondays — Monday, Feb. 9, 3:30 p.m. Create a secret admirer art project by making an “invisible” Valentine. These activities for kids ages 4-10 run every 15 minutes; materials are supplied on a first-come basis; no registration is required. Drop in.

Baby Rhyme Time — Tuesdays, Feb. 10 and 17, 11 a.m. Infants and non-walkers hear traditional and new nursery rhymes and songs, many with hand play or action; followed by free play and socialization.

Toddler Movement Program — Wednesdays, Feb. 11 and 18, 11 a.m. Preschool kids march, dance and play musical instruments with songs and action poems included. For caregivers and kids 2-and-a-half to 4 years ready to participate in group activities, register in advance; waitlist available.

As I See It — Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1 p.m. Join the Friends of the Shelton Libraries watching a movie followed by a discussion and dessert; adults only.

Show-and-Tell Storytime — Friday, Feb. 13, 10:30 a.m. Kids listen to stories, sing songs and participate in a game or fun experiment. Children are encouraged to bring along an object for show-and-tell. All ages welcome. Drop in.
