CT SNOW TOTALS: Hartford area, southwestern part received the most

Shelton likely received 8 or 9 inches of snow on Monday, based on state Department of Transportation (DOT) snow measurements from around the state taken at 4 p.m.

The DOT takes measurements in certain towns where it has facilities. The latest figures in inches are below, with towns near Shelton appearing in bold:

Mansfield — 6.5

Colchester — 6.25

Norwich — 5.25

Old Saybrook — 5.25

Haddam — 5
