It’s a hard, pellet-like snow, and has been alternating with sleet and freezing rain for much of the morning.

It appears about a half inch to an inch of snow and sleet has accumulated on road and ground surfaces in Shelton, although those amounts may be higher in parts of the city with higher elevations — such as Huntington and White Hills.

Will turn into all snow

The precipitation should turn to all snow this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), when an additional 1 to 3 inches could accumulate in Shelton.
