John Rullan and Nick Corkery had 28 and 26 points respectively, to lead Fitzgerald Construction to a hard fought 95-78 victory in the A Division of the Shelton Men’s Basketball League.
John Ribas had 30 points for Valley Roofing in a game that matched the top two teams in the division.
In other A Division games, The Buds whipped Uptempo 79-48, as Jon Robles had 22 points to lead a balanced attack where all six players hit double figures. Brendan Abell had 21 for Uptempo.
The Buds also defeated Colony Grill 81-57, as Robles again had 22 points to lead the way. Justin Pereiras had 19 points for Colony.
Colony Grill claimed a 70-56 win over the Mad Dogs earlier in the week behind 23 points from Pereiras and 21 from Jeff Norko. Mike Dirienzo was best for the Dogs with 17.
Kyle’s Tile improved to 5-2 with a 75-63 win over CDW. Austin Gagner had 24 points and Jeff Putnick 22 for the Tilemen. Jordan Singleton was high for CDW with 18 points.
In Over 30 League action, Critical Entertainment moved to 6-1 as James Kirby scored 16 points in a 45-31 win over BUYF. Fred Turco scored 11 in a losing cause.
Cahill Law also moved to 6-1 with a 50-38 win over Zamba Graphics. Joe Martino had 17 and Mark Belade 16 for Cahill. Phil Dombeck, Ed Kochiss, and Mike Hart each had eight points for Zamba.
KFC defeated MPL 42-28, behind 15 points from Mo Martin. Dave Lazar had 10 for MPL.
