Who was Shelton’s largest slave owner? Find out during presentation

Marty Coughlin will present “Perspectives on Slavery in Connecticut and Shelton” on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. at Plumb Memorial Library.

calendarCoughlin is the president of the Shelton Historical Society, and will take a historical look at slavery in the state. Also explored will be how slavery impacted life in Shelton, and who the city’s largest slave owner was.

Donations accepted. Refreshments served. The library is at 65 Wooster St.
